We are building a suite of APIs and SDKs that enable developers to easily add voice UIs into web applications and are looking for a developer advocate who is passionate about voice technology and developer experience. This is an opportunity of a lifetime to be one of the first hires to our fast growing and ambitious US team. You will drive our developer community building activities, evangelize our UI philosophy, and act as our stateside product expert to help support marketing and business development efforts. You will share community feedback internally with Product and provide input and advocate on behalf of the developer community. This is a position for someone with a strong technical / developer background who loves connecting with developers and speaking publicly about state-of-the-art dev tools everywhere from conference panels to local tech meet-ups, and online forums like Stack Overflow, Github, and Reddit.

As our first developer advocate, you will be building the foundation for the function and will have the opportunity to
Define and implement our Developer Experience (DX) roadmap
- Synthesize developer feedback to help drive ongoing product enhancements
- Gain deep understanding of developer needs to help inform product development
- Contributing to and continuously improving our developer documentation and other relevant developer materials
- Advocate internally for the developer experience
Connect and communicate directly with developer communities
- Community manage our developer community and providing hands-on support to our community members
- Champion and present our APIs at relevant meet-ups, events and conferences
- Plan and organize developer events and activities
Use technical knowledge to support marketing and business development efforts
- Create inspirational, functional demos
- Work with developer influencers
- Write blog posts, facilitate the creation of videos and materials for developer and product team audiences
- Participate in client discussions as the technical product SME
You will be a great candidate for this position if you have
- Substantial experience in web development
- Passionate about new state-of-the-art technologies
- Able to get up-to-speed fast with new technologies
- Good written and spoken communication skills, and passion for writing and speaking
- Ability to pull off killer presentations and demos inspiring technical developer audiences
- Possibility and interest for travelling
- Fluent in English language
